Country Manager / Sales Manager France - DIY & specialized trade - (m/w/d)

Your tasks:
  • Implementation and continuous development of strategic goals in France and Belgium in close coordination with the headquarters
  • Develop sales and merchandising strategies to increase sales with our stationary customers in DIY, specialist retail and wholesale in the French sales territory.
  • Professional and personal coordination with local and central colleagues for the online sales channels
  • Disciplinary and professional management of the sales team in France with approx. 10 employees and sales representatives.
  • Identification and evaluation of market trends, competitor analyses and customer requirements in order to continuously optimize sales activities and to enable colleagues at the German headquarters to take into account specific requirements of French end consumers and trade customers for the product range and marketing.
  • Building and maintaining long-term business relationships with key customers and acquiring new customers in the DIY segment and in specialist retail sales
  • Responsibility for achieving the defined sales and earnings targets
  • Working closely and cooperatively with colleagues at headquarters to ensure efficient and targeted market development, including participation in process optimization.
  • Collaboration on international projects.
  • Regular reporting and analysis of sales results to the management and sales management at the German head office.

Your profile:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role in sales of consumer durables with proven expertise in sales channels in the DIY segment and specialist retail
  • Experience in the technical and disciplinary management of sales teams, as well as a confident handling of intercultural teams
  • Business fluent in written and spoken French and English. Good knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, a strong commercial understanding as well as a goal-oriented and independent way of working
  • Business fluent communication, both internally and externally, as well as the ability to motivate and lead people
  • Social skills, Authenticity and integrity
  • High motivation and solution-oriented approach
  • High self-motivation, flexibility, creativity and assertiveness
  • EDP/PC skills (especially MS Office)
  • Willingness to travel regularly within France and to meetings at the head office in Germany and, if necessary, to other European countries to other European countries
